The Lions are seeking new players for Season 2020.

Each year we say goodbye to a top notch crew of Lions and Lionesses, as they return to Australia or head off on other adventures.  With 3 men's teams and a ladies team to field each week, that means we need new players, supporters and club members to get involved and make the year ahead a great one.

As a Club we pride ourselves on being very competitive on the field, and we take our social activities off the field equally seriously.   Season 2019 was a great one for the Club, with our women's team winning their first ever AFL London Premiership with a fantastic grand final victory over the Demons. The year before, we had 2 teams (Men's social and ladies) featuring in Grand Finals whilst the year before in 2017 we also had two teams reach the grand final (Men's premiership and social) plus a huge group of Lions (both men and women) heading out to Australia for the International Cup.  It's time to build on the successes of 2019 and previous seasons and bring home some more flags in 2020!

Off the field we sent both guys and girls teams abroad before the Season to play games in Germany whilst we have regular preseason games in Birmingham and Cambridge.  We made the most of a fantastic Summer with huge parties at Bounds Green after home games.  We fielded full sides for every team, in every game of the year and you only had to hear the huge crowd at the Women's AFL London Grand Final, most of them supporting the Lions, to know to know that the Club is in top shape for the year ahead.

Preseason training for all teams will begin on Sunday 12th January, at Regents Park in Central London.  Round 1 is due to kick off in late April (dates TBC) and there will be a lots more dates added to the calendar between now and the beginning of the 2020 season

If you want to be involved we'd love to welcome you to the Club!

All levels of playing experience are very encouraged to join, from those who have played at high levels back in Australia, to those coming completely new to the game.  Everyone that wants to play will get a game at North London, and across our 4 teams there is a standard to suit and challenge everyone.

Training is set up to build fitness and skills in a social environment, and both Lions and Lionesses train together for large parts of each Session.  We always train in Regents Park, central London, which is easy to reach from several different tube lines and so we draw players from all over London.

Get in touch on Social Media (we are on Facebook, Instagram and Twitter) or just send us an email directly to info@northlondonlions.co.uk for more info.

Or just use the form below to send us an email and we'll get back to you as soon as possible.
