The Men's Social provides a quality london footy experience without the pressure of higher leagues.
This is our development team where players of all abilities can learn the game and get their first experience playing Australian football. Our coaches love having new players join the club and helping them with the skills of AFL. It is an incredibly friendly and welcoming environment to be a part of, which is the ultimate aim of what we strive for as a club.

Strategic Coach
Michael Barker
“Coming to the Lions many years ago, Michaael ‘Booba’ Barker will be an excellent coach to lead the men this year. Booba is an established and experienced player back in Australia and brings premiership experience to the Lions. What’s more, he has the lions fun + footy ethos at his core.” - Des Jacobs
in 2025 we look to Michael as a key piece in the men’s aspirations of premiership silverware. We look forward to seeing Michael’s experience add the the men’s teams talent this coming season.
Development Coach
Ben Matthews
“We are very excited to be welcoming Benny into the coaching group for the 2025 season. having completed his cert 1 in coaching we feel like a role as the development coach for a very strong men’s group will be invaluable. I know the boys love him and will get around him on 2025.”
